 | The Earth has been almost destroyed by nuclear wars; population has been reduced of about one tenth and the survivors have grouped in several communities after drawing up a peace treaty; they are trying to rebuild their cities under huge shields that protect them from radiations now that ozone layer has completely gone; these shields need a lot of energy to work, but the sources on Earth are consuming and won't last more than 4-6 months. The only problem is that we have to go and take it and this may not be just the after dinner walk: we localised the sources, they are about 12 light years far from Earth, scattered on the planets of a system whose star we know is called XURIDEN. |
